Doha: As soon as the ceasefire agreement took effect in the Gaza Strip, Qatari aid began flowing to the brotherly people there. The Qatari aid continued throughout the days of the aggression, encompassing both relief and medical support, as well as treatment provided under the grant of HH the Amir.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Raya newspaper emphasized that the State of Qatar will continue to support the brotherly Palestinian people in their steadfastness, based on its firm position on the justice of the Palestinian cause, the international legitimacy resolutions, and the two-state solution. The newspaper pointed to Qatar's diplomatic efforts to ensure the implementation of the ceasefire agreement on Gaza, stating that the country continued its international movement to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid to the brothers in Gaza, and to increase its frequency and sustainability.
In this context, Al-Raya referred to the phone call made by HE Minister of State for International Cooperation with the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for the Middle East and Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza. Concluding its editorial, Al-Raya highlighted Qatar's call for effective international efforts to overcome obstacles facing the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
English newspaper, The Peninsula, meanwhile, highlighted US President Donald Trump's return to the White House, and its impact on the global order. In its editorial titled "Trump's Historic Second Term," the paper stated that, for decades, the United States has been a cornerstone of the world order, playing a vital role in defense, international diplomacy, and the promotion of peace.
President Trump's promise to be a peacemaker, to end wars, and to foster global stability resonates with many who are eager to see an end to conflict and chaos. This message is particularly important for the Arab and Islamic world, which has endured decades of war, political instability, and economic stagnation. The recent ceasefire agreement in Gaza, in which the State of Qatar, US, and Egypt played a key role, was achieved just a day before Trump took the oath of office. This development has bolstered the belief among many in the Arab and Islamic world that Trump's administration may represent a turning point that prioritizes peace, justice, and stability.
