Doha: HE Governor of Qatar Central Bank (QCB), Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani, met with HE Governor of the Bank of Italy and Chair of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) Board of Directors, Fabio Panetta. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 96th Annual Meeting of BIS, held in Basel, Switzerland, on June 27-28.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on reviewing the key aspects of bilateral relations between Qatar and Italy in the banking and finance sectors. The meeting also explored ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in these areas.
