Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a downturn in Tuesday’s trading, closing 83.560 points lower, which translates to a 0.78 percent decrease, settling at 10,648.360 points.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the trading session, a total of 187,184,857 shares were exchanged, reaching a value of QR 455,579,922.549. These transactions were executed in 22,705 trades spanning across all sectors of the market.
In terms of stock performance, shares of 13 companies saw an increase in their prices. Conversely, 37 companies experienced a decline in share prices, while 2 companies’ share prices remained unchanged from the previous closing.
The market capitalization at the close of the trading session was QR 629,186,731,369.157. This marks a decrease from the previous session’s market capitalization, which stood at QR 633,908,796,626.013.
