Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index saw a decline of 22.92 points, or 0.21%, at the start of trading on Wednesday. This decrease brought the index to 10,574 points, down from the previous session's close. The decline was influenced by losses across six sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Transportation sector led the downturn, falling by 0.65%. This was followed by a decrease in the Real Estate sector by 0.49%, Insurance by 0.46%, Banks and Financial Services by 0.24%, Industrials by 0.19%, and Telecoms by 0.11%.
In contrast, the Consumer Goods and Services sector experienced gains, with an increase of 0.72%.
As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 32.693 million shares, resulting in a total turnover of QR 77.474 million across 3,346 transactions.
