QU SIGNS MOU WITH HASSAD FOOD COMPANY

Qatar University (QU) sign a MoU with Hassad Food Company, which will see the two parties cooperate in numerous fields including professional training, research projects and applied sciences.

Through the MoU, QU and Hassad Food Company will cooperate in conducting and organizing collaborative research projects, scientific studies, conferences, meetings, workshops, seminars and joint training activities. The two parties also agree to exchange experience and information including newsletters, workshop-training programs, studies, statistics and other data.

University students and staff will also benefit from the agreement through professional training opportunities as well as cooperation in the field of research and graduation projects for students related to food production system.

In addition, the MoU will pave the way for joint research projects aiming at natural, biological and environmental research activities, especially in the field of food production.

This memorandum was signed by QU President Dr. Hassan Al-Derham and Eng. Mohamed Bin Badr El Sadah, Chief Executive O?cer of Hassad Food Company.

Commenting on this agreement, QU President Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham said, “We are proud of Hassad Food as a local company serving the country and we are proud to have young Qataris able to manage large and successful projects like this company, with global standards. As a national university we welcome strategic agreements such as this one, which we know will produce great programs and results.”

Eng. Mohamed Bin Badr El Sadah also commented saying, “We thank Qatar University for supporting this initiative, which will strive to create a generation aware of the importance of food security because food security is a part of strategic security. Qatar University, in its role as a national university has the expertise, through their faculty and their excellent students, so we are hopeful about the results that we can achieve through this MoU.”
