S. Korea Welcomes Gaza Ceasefire Agreement, Hails Mediators’ Efforts

Seoul: South Korea welcomed the signing of the first phase of an agreement between Israel and Hamas to end the war in Gaza, commending the mediation efforts that led to the accord.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that South Korea highly valued the initiative of US President Donald Trump to achieve the agreement, along with the mediation efforts of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkiye.

The ministry expressed hope that the agreement would serve as a turning point toward restoring peace and stability in the Middle East.

It also voiced hope for the release of all detainees and for the improvement of humanitarian conditions in Gaza in the near future.
