Sixth Katara International Amber Exhibition Opens with Participation from 13 Countries

Doha: The Katara Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) inaugurated the sixth edition of the Katara International Amber (Kahraman) Exhibition on Tuesday. The event was attended by Katara General Manager Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, along with several ambassadors and officials. The exhibition sees participation from thirteen countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the exhibition features 82 pavilions showcasing a wide array of luxury products and artifacts crafted from rare amber, including antique Polish rosaries and rare handicrafts. Khalid Abdulrahim Al Sayed, Director of Events and Cultural Affairs at Katara and General Supervisor of the exhibition, affirmed that the event has become a key destination for amber enthusiasts and those interested in its heritage and craftsmanship. This aligns with Katara's mission to nurture and celebrate human cultural diversity.

Fawaz Al Mulla of Dar Al Mulla Rosaries, the official sponsor of the exhibition, highlighted their unique collection of antique Polish rosaries crafted from a single piece of amber, in addition to various amber accessories. Mithaq Al-Maliki, a participant and supervisor of the Dr. Kahrab pavilion, emphasized the exhibition's role as a leading specialized platform that brings together elite exhibitors and experts, owing to its professional organization and high-quality offerings.

Salah Mohammed, supervisor of the Kahraman Qatar pavilion, noted significant development in participation size and exhibit quality. His continued participation over the previous five editions underscores this edition's greater momentum and diversity. Mahmoud Junaid Shweihna, supervisor of the "Princes for Antique Amber" pavilion, affirmed the exhibition's status as a major destination for amber enthusiasts in Qatar, especially those interested in antique and rare pieces. The increasing turnout reflects the public's refined taste and interest in specialized items.
