Sultan of Oman, Egypt President Underscore Intensifying Efforts to Resolve Crisis, Secure Navigation in Strait of Hormuz

Muscat: Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi stressed, in a telephone call today, the importance of intensifying political and diplomatic efforts to advance US-Iranian negotiations to resolve the crisis and de-escalate tensions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two leaders discussed regional developments and their political and economic repercussions. They emphasized the necessity of securing maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, aiming to support the consolidation of international peace and security in accordance with the principles of international law. The leaders underscored the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz as a critical waterway for global energy supplies, highlighting the need for collaborative efforts to maintain stability in the region.
