Muscat: Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed the need for a complete and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the genocide being perpetrated against the Palestinian people by the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza and across the Palestinian territories.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a joint statement issued during the Iranian President's visit to the Sultanate of Oman, the two sides called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in providing relief aid and humanitarian supplies to the defenseless population throughout the Gaza Strip. They expressed their categorical rejection of any plans aimed at displacing and persecuting the population.
The joint statement also stated that the two sides stressed the importance of redoubling efforts to ensure continued security and stability in the region and the world, and to further coordinate in regional and international forums on issues that serve security and stability in the region and the world.
