Doha:Strait of Hormuz A tanker was attacked during its outbound journey through the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in a fire on board.
According to Qatar News Agency, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Centre (UKMTO) reported that the tanker's captain claimed it was struck by an unidentified projectile. This incident caused a small fire and a temporary loss of power on the vessel.
The UKMTO confirmed that the fire has been successfully extinguished and the tanker is now continuing its voyage. There have been no reports of injuries or environmental damage as a result of the incident.
