Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the latter's visit to Turkiye. The discussions focused on bilateral relations, the peace process between Ukraine and Russia, and other regional and global issues.
According to Qatar News Agency, a statement from the Turkish Presidency's Directorate of Communications revealed that Erdogan reiterated Turkiye's ongoing support for negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. He emphasized the necessity for enhanced peace and stability in the region. Additionally, Erdogan highlighted the importance of navigation safety in the Black Sea and the critical nature of energy supply security.
Erdogan shared Turkiye's commitment to expanding trade relations with Ukraine and affirmed that steps towards achieving this goal will persist. Furthermore, he expressed his satisfaction with Ukraine's initiatives to bolster its ties with Gulf countries.
