WHO Reports 52 Lebanese Health Workers Killed in Israeli Attacks

Beirut: The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported a significant rise in the death toll of Lebanese health workers due to ongoing Israeli attacks, with the number now reaching 52.

According to Qatar News Agency, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus shared on the X platform that a tragic incident occurred when a paramedic was killed in an attack targeting an ambulance in Bint Jbeil. Furthermore, a medical warehouse in the same city suffered destruction due to another attack.

Before this latest incident, Ghebreyesus mentioned that WHO had confirmed the deaths of 51 Lebanese health workers, which included nine paramedics, as of Saturday. The Lebanese Ministry of Health had previously announced that the overall death toll from Israeli aggression in Lebanon had climbed to 1,238, with 3,543 individuals injured since March 2.

The Israeli entity persists in conducting raids across numerous villages and towns in southern Lebanon, as well as areas within the southern suburbs of Beirut.
