Belgrade: Eight people were killed on Monday after a fire broke out in a nursing home on the outskirts of Belgrade.
According to Qatar News Agency, seven other people were injured in the fire, which erupted in Barajevo, south of Belgrade. Emergency officer Luka Causevic reported that 30 individuals were inside the facility at the time of the incident, emphasizing that while the situation was tragic, it could have been even more severe.
Minister for Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Nemanja Starovic stated that initial investigations suggest the fire was caused by deliberate arson.
