Death Toll in Israeli Occupation’s Aggression on Gaza Rises to 61,330

Riyadh: The death toll in the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which has lasted 23 months, has risen to 61,330 martyrs in addition to 152,359 wounded. The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported in a statement Friday that ambulances, civil defense teams, and citizens transported 72 martyrs and 314 wounded to hospitals in the Strip over the past 24 hours.

According to Qatar News Agency, the statement noted that the death toll and injuries recorded since the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement on March 18 has risen to 9,824 martyrs and 40,318 wounded. It also stated that the death toll from aid workers increased by 16 martyrs and 250 wounded over the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,772 martyrs and 12,249 wounded.

The report noted that there are additional victims under the rubble of destroyed buildings, unable to be recovered by ambulance and civil defense crews due to the occupation's targeting and the lack of necessary equipment. These developments on the ground come amid the spread of famine throughout Gaza and international demands for the occupation to open the Strip's crossings to allow the entry of humanitarian aid to the population.
