Al Sailiya: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani patronized the graduation ceremony of the seventh batch of cadets from the Police College, affiliated with the Police Academy, in Al Sailiya on Monday morning. The event marked a significant milestone for the 136 graduates from Qatar, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia, and was attended by several Their Excellencies Sheikhs, Ministers, and other distinguished guests.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ceremony saw the attendance of high-profile figures, including HE Minister of Interior of Iraq Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Kamel Al-Shammari, HE Minister of Interior of Palestine Maj. Gen. Ziad Mahmoud Hab Al-Reeh, alongside senior security and military leaders from various sisterly and friendly countries. Heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the state, senior officers from the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the Amiri Guard, the State Security Service, and Lekhwiya were also present.
The ceremony commenced with the playing of the national anthem, followed by the commander of the graduates' queue requesting HH the Amir to inspect the lineup of graduates. The event included the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, the march of the graduates' queue, and a military parade. HH the Amir honored the outstanding graduates, further emphasizing the significance of the occasion.
In a symbolic gesture, the flag was handed over from the seventh batch to the eighth batch, signifying the continuation of tradition and duty. The appointment order was read aloud, and the graduates' queue exited the ceremony. The event also featured the entry of the "Officers of Tomorrow" queue, comprising school students, showcasing the future of policing in the region.
The ceremony concluded with the officers of the seventh batch taking the oath and reciting the College anthem, marking the end of their training and the beginning of their service.
