Kazakh President and Russian Deputy PM Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Trade Relations

Astana: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Denis Manurov engaged in discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation between their countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, Tokayev emphasized the active and coordinated efforts of both governments, citing Russia as a key trade and economic partner for Kazakhstan. He referenced an agreement made with Russian President Vladimir Putin to increase bilateral trade to USD 30 billion in the near future and highlighted the contributions of major Russian companies in Kazakhstan, which reflect a strong level of mutual trust.

Denis Manurov, representing Russia, reiterated the country's commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations. Tokayev noted that the Russian Federation ranks highly in terms of investment in Kazakhstan's economy, with Russian investments totaling USD 4 billion last year.
