Oman, Jordan FMs Discuss Ongoing US-Iran Talks

Muscat: Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi discussed Sunday by phone with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi the latest regional developments, including the ongoing US-Iran talks in Muscat. Safadi expressed his country's full support for the Sultanate of Oman's efforts to create a conducive environment for dialogue, praising its responsible role in bringing viewpoints closer and promoting peaceful paths to resolve regional disputes.

According to Qatar News Agency, Muscat hosted Saturday a meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff, marking the first highest-level talks between the two sides since Washington withdrew from the nuclear agreement in 2018.
