The transformation of the maritime transport sector exemplifies this, with around 95% of transactions for large vessels now available electronically. This digital expansion includes 21 services such as ownership transfers and mortgage certificates, allowing users to manage processes remotely, thus saving time and reducing the need for physical visits to government offices.
The editorial also underscored the necessity of balancing convenience with security, highlighting the importance of data protection and secure electronic document handling as more services move online.
