Qatari Newspapers Highlight Amir’s Role in Police College and Gaza Aid

Doha: Qatari newspapers, in their Tuesday editorials, focused on significant topics affecting both local and Arab landscapes. They emphasized HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's patronage of the graduation ceremony for the seventh batch of cadets from the Police College, showcasing the leadership's commitment to advancing the institution's accomplishments.

According to Qatar News Agency, Qatari newspapers also highlighted the continued flow of aid to the Gaza Strip, which persisted even during the aggression, in line with HH the Amir's directives. On Monday, 25 trucks filled with Qatar-funded fuel arrived at the Karem Salem crossing, underscoring HH the Amir's dedication to supporting the Palestinian people's rights.

Al Watan newspaper reported that the Police College has made substantial achievements in academic and training areas, rapidly evolving into a distinguished institution regionally. The recent graduation ceremony, under HH the Amir's patronage, reinforced the leadership's focus on enabling further accomplishments for the college. Since the first batch of graduates in 2019, the college has supplied the Ministry of Interior with well-trained personnel in legal and police fields, reflecting in the cadets' performance.

Al Sharq newspaper discussed the initiation of a land bridge to supply the Gaza Strip with 12,500,000 liters of fuel over the first 10 days of the ceasefire. The paper commended HH the Amir's leadership in facilitating the ceasefire, which ended the Israeli actions against Palestinians and aimed to resolve detainee issues, moving towards sustainable conflict solutions.

Al Sharq also noted praise from UK Prime Minister Kier Starmer for Qatar's mediation efforts and recognition from the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for the Middle East for Qatar's humanitarian role. These acknowledgments highlight Qatar's commitment to peace and its supportive stance in challenging circumstances.
