QMMF CEO Announces Record Participation in Qatar International Baja 2025

Doha: Executive Director of the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), Amro Al Hamad, has commended the record turnout and outstanding success of the Qatar International Baja 2025. He noted that this year's event set a new benchmark with 106 teams and 101 participations, emphasizing that the event concluded with an exceptional organizational and coaching display, earning widespread acclaim from participants.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Hamad hailed the extraordinary competitiveness showcased by elite world champions across all categories, both in cars and motorcycles, which produced razor-thin margins and intensely contested results. He expressed immense pride in this tournament, noting that it once again demonstrated Qatar's capability to host monumental motorsport events at the highest organizational and coaching standards, further reinforcing the nation's standing as a global hub for automotive sport.

Al Hamad highlighted the strong presence of Qatari competitors in what is widely regarded as the most challenging Baja to date, featuring nine drivers in the car category and three riders in the motorcycle segment. He further lauded the landmark achievements of Nasser Al Attiya, crowned champion of the "Challenger" class, and Mohamed Al Marri, victor in the "SSV" category, one of Qatar's promising young drivers, selected last year under the QMMF's talent discovery program for rally drivers.

He further commended the performances of Mohamed Al Rubban, winner of the "T2" class, Mohamed Al Meer, who finished third in the same category, and Nawaf Al Suwaidi, who clinched second place in the "T3" division. Al Hamad stressed that QMMF will meticulously review all feedback and challenges faced by Qatari competitors to ensure they are fully addressed in future global competitions.

Finally, he extended his gratitude to all those who contributed to this success, including partners, curators, medical teams supporting the competitors, and the operational committees.
